Now that the winter is well and truly over many of us here in Chamonix are looking towards one of the many trail running races coming up over the summer. Â We will be looking at all of them over the next few weeks but will start with the UTMB (Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc) since i am planning on being on the start line this year again after last years let down.
The UTMB in figures.
- The race passes through France, Italy and Switzerland.
- It covers 166 Km’s.
- has 9,500 of altitude up and down.
- 2,300 runners.
- Start is 26th August at 1830hrs.
- fastest finishes in about 21 hours.
