Geneva airport “lost passport” campagne

Geneva airport lost passport campagne
Geneva airport lost passport campagne

The British Embassy in Berne (Switzerland) has decided to try and reduce the number of emergency travel documents they issue every year (650 in total 2014).

With about 1 million British passengers travelling through Geneva airport every year its no surprise there are a few lost passports.  The weekend that i am writing this (14-15 Feb 2015) Geneva airport is expecting 30,000 British passengers alone.

The idea of the new banners is to try and increase awareness in the airport both before and after passport control to try and make people think about security and perhaps pay a bit more attention to where they put their passport.

Information found and taken from www.gva.ch, website of Geneva international airport.
