Chamonix Transfers first day of the ski season.

Well its come and gone, the first official day of the ski season here in Chamonix was today, December 10th 2011.  It didnt look like is was going to happen only a week ago but three days of heavy snow changed the situation in the valley from “desperate” to “perfect”.

Unfortunately we were not there today, however, first hand reports are that its looking good with plenty snow.  Worthy of note is the “High” avalanche risk at the moment, more on this here.
