Chamonix to Courchevel

At first it was a mystery to us why so many people were choosing to travel from Chamonix to Courchevel during their ski holiday.  However, when you start think about it there are lots of reasons one might choose this route.

Firstly, the two resorts couldn’t be much different, one (Chamonix) is for the adventure seeking, off piste skier who is looking to get some serious vertical in and not to bothered about the rest (this is a major simplification I would like to add).  The other (Courchevel) is more suited to the skier who likes to get a little pampered, eat very well, drink nice wine and enjoy some well groomed medium pistes.

If you are skiing with the family or a group of friends you will no doubt find that you are in a group of differing abilities and it would therefore make total sense to spend a week in Chamonix and then a week in Courchevel.
