As of the 21 October 2019 Chamonix Valley is open for skiing! The snow conditions can only be described as early season but at least its open.
This is quite a bit earlier than Chamonix has been able to open over the last few years. At the time of writing it is snowing above 1200m which means rain in town but snow on the mountain, so, the conditions will be getting better and better.
The other “Condition” at the moment is that only Grand Montets ski area will be open until the beginning of December AND only at weekends.
Deluxe Transfers and our sister company “Taxi Alpin” are available all season to get people from town to the piste if waiting for the bus doesn’t sound like something you fancy doing.
