One of the most popular Geneva day trips at this time of year is to Chamonix and the Aiguille du Midi. Â At around an hour from Geneva its the perfect place to find a truly Alpine experience during a visit to Geneva.
The Aiguille du Midi is found in the Mont Blanc Massif and is only a cable car ride away from Chamonix town centre. Â Built in 1955, it was the worlds highest cable car for over 2 decades and still holds the world record for the highest vertical ascent cable car ride going from 1,035m to 3,842m.
Included in the recent renovations is the now famous “Step into the Void” glass box that is suspended out over a 1,000m void.
