All the mountains in the Chamonix Valley (and throughout the alps) are now white and have been for a few days now, everything about about 1400 metres. This doesn’t always mean that it going to be a good season though. In recent years we have always had quite an early snowfall but then nothing until late December or even early January.
What we need it to do now is stay cold and keep snowing, even if its little amounts we need it to keep building up and stay cold. On this Blog we plan to keep doing regular updates of the snow conditions between now and Xmas time. Its a crucial time that can really make the difference between a great start to the season 2017/18 and a disastrous start.
At Deluxe we are open non-stop as usual providing transfers in and out of Chamonix and Geneva airport and all over the Alps regardless of snow. Also Chamonix valley taxis.
